A Note on Equipment
Why a youth boys stick for 1st-4th Grade?
  • Bigger pocket to help hold onto the ball.
  • Shorter handle for younger girls.
  • Youth rules allow for modified pocket until 5th grade.
  • May also modify the pocket on a youth girls stick to loosen it and make it bigger.
  • Be careful not to purchase a toy stick / mini stick (they are too small).
Goggles, Mouthguard: Choose any brand that fits the best.
Cleats: Choose soccer, lacrosse, or football cleats. Any brand that is comfortable and fits well will be fine. Softball cleats have a toe-cleat which can be dangerous when pivoting or cutting.
